Hillary's email investigation and Russian probe! meme by edlorens (Perception Loop)

The Democrats claimed that by Mr. Trump firing FBI Director the probe into Russia hacking can be affected. In response -
Trump said: ” If Russia hacked, if Russia did anything having to do with our election, I want to know about it.” - President Trump told NBC anchor Lester Holt on Thursday.
Also, Trump said:“I want that to be so strong and so good,” and:
“I want to get to the bottom.”
It is obvious that president shares our anxieties and the ’need to know’  all about the possible involvement of Russia in our election. President is eager to learn the truth!
Mr.Trump feelings are natural and expected.
The Russian probe created controversy and put Mr.Trump presidency under the cloud of suspicion that is being exploited by the Democrats stirring the nation to resist everything that our president does.
The truth can only strengthen his presidency since the corrective measures could be implemented

That some members of President Trump administration, including himself, were previously having some business dealings with Russia is a known fact. Doing Business’ - is not a sin!
Business moves money around, creating more opportunities, jobs, prosperity. Trump leverage in the election was his past experience as the businessman to boost our economy.
But we have to close the venues for Russia to exercise undue political influence and meddlings.
We keep on arguing, fighting and creating unnecessary problems. It was a time, long overdue
for James Comey to step down... and I like to go back to growing artichokes...maybe the Democrats could

also, pick up some useful hobbies instead of constantly obstructing current administration.

Former FBI Director James Comey failed both the Democrats and the Republicans.
While in charge of Hillary illegal email server his performance was highly questioned.

He danced around and played with us, inserting himself deeply into politics in the most sensitive times of the election.
James Comey
James Comey (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Hillary still blames him for the lost election.
President Trump said that Comey “saved” Hillary. Many of us feel this way.
Loretta Lynch suggested Comey would restrain himself from calling Hillary probe as a criminal investigation and instead refer to it as inquiry. The adopted vocabulary downgraded the seriousness of this criminal investigation.
It was a criminal investigation not just an ‘inquiry’. Comey influenced media and people’s minds by creating a false impression and giving Hillary ‘an upper hand’. The whole investigation lacked the integrity. Immunities were given away like pancakes. There were some people that ended in the prison for less than what Hillary did. Loretta Lynch is gone. Comey should be gone too.
(to learn more see the recently published special report by Judicial Watch. You can download it as PDF files)
It’s irrelevant if Comey is a good person or not. What is important is that he did not do a good job in Hillary Investigation. Now many months later and we still got Russia probe, that needs to be speeded up and properly, impartially addressed.

AG Jeff Sessions recused himself from Russia investigation since his close ties to Trump campaign and earlier undisclosed meeting with the Russian ambassador. Rod J. Rosenstein took over supervising the Russian investigation as the next highest law enforcement official.
President is empowered to hire/fire the FBI Director. The new Director chosen by the president has to be approved by the Senate. But President by the Statue is not obliged to give the reason why he is dismissing. Comey's performance frustrated president for a long time. There were numbers of the reasons, why Comey did not earn president's approval. However, every one of them originated with Hillary and pre-election time. Including Russia probe. Finally, the president gave as the substantiation the investigation into Hillary's illegal server.
But in the summary, as President Trump said:
"Comey was not doing a good job".
(to see: The memo drafted by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein dismissing Comey.)
gif: President Trump on CNN is saying:

(Week ago, Mr. James Comey approached him with the request for more personnel and money for conducting further the Russian investigation.)
It is difficult to ascertain who, The Democrats or the Republicans were more resentful in the Mr. Comey inserting his voice politically with Hillary email.
At one time or another, both parties wanted him out of the office.
Hillary openly blamed Comey as one of the most singular factors, for her lost election.
Comey just acted like the cat chasing his own tail, constantly seen as meddling and bringing more controversy. Both parties for different reasons saw him as an ineffective and problematic character.
The Democrats blamed him for bad timing, 2 weeks before the election reopening the investigation into Hillary.
The Republicans complained about Comey gross mistakes made during the investigation and basically allowing Hillary escape with the criminal violation of our security.
After the election, it was commonly known and even expected that he is going to be fired by newly elected president Trump.
Finally, Comey was Obama appointee and as such representing the previous regime.
Do you believe that if Hillary would win the election she would allow Mr. Comey to continue to hold the FBI Director chair?
I don't think so.
It would be just the matter of time.
Comey managed to confuse and throw whole nation in the turmoil.

We were all surprised that Mr. Trump praised at one point Comey, saying "He has guts". But giving a compliment as such is not carte blanche acceptance and does not instantly suggest that in Mr. Trump opinion, Comey personality, ability, and performance were adequate for holding such important office. Around that time when Trump was asked if he plans for Mr. Comey to continue to hold the position of the FBI Director, president Trump response was that he needs to meet first personally with Comey, talk to him, suggesting that he wants to learn more. Trump even imply that possible Comey has some other, undisclosed reasons for acting the way he did.
I don't believe that Hillary would care to give Comey the second chance. But Trump did not want to act in haste.
He was giving Comey more time. That was a smart move, very presidential as the more information were coming resulting from the persistent pursuing of the Hillary email by the nonpartisan government watchdog group Judicial Watch.
Of course, with the Democrats forming a strong anti-Trump resistance fence now all the past problems created by Comey are forgotten. Russian current investigation is being used as a pretext claiming that Trump is using undue influence, possibly unlawful meddling with such an investigation.
But maybe, the reverse is the right answer. Possibly it's Comey who was stirring and politically playing out the current investigation feeling overly self-assured that the new investigation elevated his position to untouchability.
And here comes into picture Mr. Rosenstein, who obviously had enough of politicizing of Comey and sent to him a very critical memo. President Trump again turned out to be a man who likes to delegate the responsibility and pays close attention to his advisors.
Trump key people, who closely watched Comey for a long time were pressing president into firing him.
-Albert Einstein quote:"You cannot solve
a problem with the same mind that created it"
edlorens photo
Comey had an uncanny ability to insert himself
untimely, politically. He became part of the problem.
The decision of letting Comey go was correct, long overdue. It should be cheered as such in a bipartisan way.
Now, with him gone, all that was investigated including Russia involvement are still going to be continue but by someone who can bring the final, substantiated answers instead of more confusion.
Comey had a problem giving straight, clear answers.
Comey depressing and mediocre performance wore off both the Democrats and the Republicans fast.

Unfortunately, Mr. Comey going back and forth, changing directions, at times not aggressive enough, too slow learner, ignoring or ignorant of the Statue of the Law, using cunning, maybe devious, misleading  language, made it clear that he is not to be a problem solver, but a part of the problem himself. Also, regardless what he claimed - the political meddler.
Enough Comey!
Thanks for your service...Wish you well and happy to see you go!
Acting FBI director Andrew McCabe assured us that all current investigations including Russia meddling shall go on.
FBI is still an independent organization.

We got the government spending bill good for up to September 2017.
But, No...NO WALL! The word 'wall' not even mention. The security measure that would be most effective in holding back illegals coming in was not even on agenda.
18 times in the past the government was shutdown. Last in 2013. The D-Day passed and we avoided the shutting down by giving in to the demands of the Democrats like keep on money coming for the Planned Parenthood and help with paying the medical expenses for the low-income Americans.
The details you can find here:

Negotiators agree on a spending bill to avoid the government shutdown ...

18 hours ago - Capitol Hill negotiators agreed to a deal Sunday for the spending bill to ... The final details were ironed out after the Republican-run Congress ...
"The massive spending measure, which would wrap together 11 unfinished spending bills into a single "omnibus" bill, represents the first real bipartisan legislation of Trump's presidency."
(said AP, April 27, 2017,)

We got the Republican President and the Republican Senate and House, but the Democrats are proving to be nothing but powerless. Still, I feel like congratulating President Trump on enduring the first 100 days of his presidency - enduring constant opposition and obstruction to his agenda, outrageous, violent protests and accusations.
The Democrats said before over and over again:
The fight is on!
That spending bill is the real shame...aggravating, depressing...SHAME!

The seed money, $1 billion ((£780 million) for building the wall was taken off the table. President Trump decided to wait until September for wall funding. The delay is quite upsetting, even so, he promised "The wall is going to get built," When? "Soon."- that was the president's answer. Sure! That's unless the Democrats find the way for more delays and obstructions. Not only the Democrats, but globalists and some Republicans can be expected to oppose.
In Jan. 2014, Red AZ exposed the deep ties of John McCain (R-Ar.) "with the extremist, America-hating, open-borders globalist. Soros, a multi-billionaire has bankrolled the duplicitous Arizona senator since 2001... ... Soros — who funded Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns....". The same source reported Soros donations to Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham, and now Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.
All those politicians can be expected to claim "I support additional border security funding," (Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.) but probably stop short from supporting the construction of the physical wall. Unfortunately, the politicians ----they always have to remember their donors.

You need to watch this!

The Illegal Invasion of America

First, two executive orders blocked were related to the temporary travel ban from the majority of Muslims countries.
The most recent were pertaining to withholding federal funds from the so-called sanctuary cities not co-operating with the ICE on illegals. The San Francisco pride itself on being a sanctuary city providing shelter for illegal migrants.
For the 2nd time, the San Francisco became the center of opposition to Trump executive orders. U.S. District Judge William Orrick ruled on two cases from San Francisco city and Santa Clara County, Ca. lawsuits. Orrick stated that president does not have an authority to stop funds pre-approved by the Congress if there is no clear connection between the money and the new policy. Orrick said that the existing conditions on the federal grants can be enforced.
In other words, the judge implied that Trump last executive order was too wide, too broad, or unduly coercive attempting to withhold all the federal dollar including the funds not related directly to migrants. President Trump can issue the new executive order revoking only the certain funding linked to the immigration policy.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has 25 active judges, but 18 were appointed by the Democrats.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions promised that DOJ would continue to fight the cases in court.
We got about 300 so-called sanctuary cities. By the way, sanctuary city is not a legal term. San Francisco operates under 1989 Law called City and County of Refuge ordinance prohibiting city employees assist federal immigration enforcement unless order by the court or the state law. In other words, it is an arm of liberals providing outlet
for obstructions.

“...the 2013 Senate bill — 68 U.S. senators voted in favor of comprehensive immigration reform that included only a path to citizenship after immigrants pay fines and wait more than a decade without committing a crime...During the 2013 immigration debate, House Republicans pushed legalization but not a country that is growing decreasingly white and increasingly Latino.” (Fact Check: Donald Trump's Speech On Immigration)
This is not the first time that America is involved in the mass deportation of the illegal latino immigrants.
You might be surprised to learn that over 63 years ago it was Mexican government that requested our help to stop Mexican laborers illegally leaving Mexico and entering the U.S.
Both countries needed the cheap labor for the growing agricultural industry. During the 1920s, some 62,000 Mexican workers every year entered the United States legally, and over 100,000 illegally.
During the World War II, both countries entered the agreement (beginning September 27, 1942) called  Bracero program. Mexico agreed to “allowed Mexican laborers to work in the United States under short-term contracts (from 12-52 weeks) in exchange for stricter border security and the return of illegal Mexican immigrants to Mexico.” (Wikipedia) 2 million Mexican braceros worked under that contract, but much more came illegally looking for better wages.

When the Mexican President Porfirio Díaz realized that the laborers leaving for the United States were needed to industrialize and expand the Mexican economy he sent 5,000 troops to prevent illegal laborers entering the U.S.
As Mr. Trump cited in his 2016 Phoenix  speech that I am discussing and quoting more below, “the Operation Wetback,"  implemented on May, 1954 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower was an immigration initiative created by Joseph Swing, the Director of the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), deporting illegal migrants on the request of the Mexico.
Operation Wetback ( wetback was a put-down name for the illegal Mexicans crossing Rio Grande river) consisting of 12 teams and 750 agents,  border patrol and other staff using 300 jeeps, buses and 7 planes aimed to catch about 1,000 illegals/per day. In the first year alone there were 1,078,168 illegals apprehended from targeted areas of  Texas, California, and Arizona. About half a million of illegals returned to Mexico on its own. 88 died due to high heat and the Mexican government negligence.
John Dillin  (JULY 6, 2006- How Eisenhower solved illegal border crossings from Mexico- The Christian Science Monitor) tells that in Operation Wetback participated  1,075 United States Border Patrol agents. Just like today the Democrats in the past ”  including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement.” (John Dillin)
Over 500 miles south from Port Isabel, Texas, to Veracruz, Mexico two hired ships the Emancipation and the Mercurio carried illegal Mexicans back to their country.
During the D. Eisenhower times, fast campaign under General Joseph Swing “secure America's borders – an accomplishment no other president has since equaled. Illegal migration had dropped 95 percent by the late 1950s.”

[Obama was deporting about 400,000/ per year.]

Fast forward to the present time and the Mexico is singing the different tune. Now Mexico, as well as other latino's countries, see benefits in their nationals staying and working in the U.S., never mind if they are illegals, nice people or criminals...they still sent back home about $20 billion yearly. That the money that is flying out of the U.S. economy.
No wonder that “Mexico's foreign relations secretary on Tuesday called U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to build a border wall not only a "bad idea" but an "unfriendly, hostile" act. “
"A nation without borders is not a nation.”
Words of 45th President of the U.S. Donald Trump on Jan.25, 2017
Signing the executive order instructing DHS to
"deploy all lawful means" to secure the southern border...
(I used my inauguration photo NBC and in the background, illegals crossing Spain borders. My photo -free for reuse -edlorens)
What is going to be Mr. Trump accomplishments in securing our borders?
Historically the same illegal migrants were deported much time over and kept returning.
Granting blank amnesty should not be the option as these would only encourage more illegals to ‘come and get it’ lowering our internal security and tremendously would increase non-English speaking population that lives in the shadows of the country but still using our resources.
The Trump administration priority is to deport illegals with the criminal record. Citizens and all residence in the U.S. are entitled to Constitutional Rights.
But there is a difference between legal and illegal resident!

It was in 2006, the House passed legislation that would make any undocumented immigrant a felon.

We have to adopt more successful action preventing unvetted and unwelcome migrants from coming here than it was done in the past.  We need to seal our borders. It’s simply like that.

Back in March 2016 Trump said in Tucson: "Illegal immigration is gonna stop...It's dangerous," he said. "Terrible."  That statement, he repeated many times followed by a promise to build the wall. Not a metaphor. Real. 30” a tall. We want the wall!
Back in August of 2016, after returning from the special meeting with the president of the Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto  in his speech on immigration in the city of Phoenix, Trump promised to create the new relationship between us and Mexico as he said “fair relationship; we want fairness.”
He, also called illegal immigration “one of the greatest challenges facing our country today” and unreported by media but “...the immigration system in our country serves the needs of wealthy donors, political activists and powerful, powerful politicians.” Then adding:”...Let me tell you who it does not serve. It does not serve you, the American people. Doesn't serve you.
When politicians talk about immigration reform, they usually mean the following: amnesty, open borders, lower wages.”
Trump after acknowledging the sensitivity of the immigration issues he emphasized the concerns of our “working people”, that he called “our forgotten working people” and the immigration “impact on their jobs, wages, housing, schools, tax bills and general living conditions.”
“...not everyone who seeks to join our country will be able to successfully assimilate... an issue of security. Countless innocent American lives have been stolen…” Even then the future 45th president blamed “sanctuary cities and open borders...under the policies of the White House, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton.”
On that day Trump talked about the victims of the illegals. Trump talked about 21-year-old college graduate with a 4.o Sarah Root killed by an illegal who was even after the crime released and “now he's out there at large.” Afterward what Trump called “the victims of the Obama-Clinton open border policy” he brought up the murder of another 21-years-old convenience store clerk from Mesa, Ariz. Grant Ronnebeck by the gang member, convicted burglar an illegal immigrant.
Felons and the criminal illegals, including Dreamers that committed the violent or serious crime such as domestic violence, drug related, smuggling etc. should be deported not released back to the society as it was during Obama term.

If only one could tell president Trump: You promised. Please, build the wall! Don’t delay. Don’t postpone. Too many time the projects put on the backfire never gets off the ground.  There will come the one or the other ‘priority’, needs to be handle and more obstructions.
President should start immediately. That is NOW, not later in the year.
Do you recall, Mr. President how you described the wall that you promised to build?
The year ago in that Phoenix speech, Mr. Trump said:
“On day one, we will begin working on an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful southern border wall. We will use the best technology, including above- and below-ground sensors, that's the tunnels. Remember that, above and below. Above and below ground sensors. Towers, aerial surveillance and manpower to supplement the wall, find and dislocate tunnels, and keep out criminal cartels…” That sound very beautiful.

The U.S. border fence near EL PASO

He said the wall doesn’t need to run the nearly 2,000 miles of the border, but about 1,000 miles because of natural barriers…”
White House budget director Mick Mulvaney, during an April 23 segment on Fox News Sunday, said:
"We want our priorities funded and one of the biggest priorities during the campaign, was border security, keeping Americans safe, and part of that was a border wall."
Obama, Hillary, Chuck Schumer (of New York -now the Senate Minority Leader) were part of the Senate and along with 23 other Democratic senators voted in favor of the act that passed - 80 to 19.
It was called “The Secure Fence Act of 2006,  passed by a Republican Congress, signed by President George W. Bush, authorized about 700 miles of fencing (1,125 km) Southern border …652 miles of primary fencing, 36 miles of secondary fencing and 14 miles of tertiary fencing ( U.S. Customs and Border Protection.) In 2010 the project was discontinued due to the costs estimated at $4.1bn  - the U.S. entire Border Patrol budget is less.
But even at that time authorization of more lighting, checkpoints and the use of advanced technology such as satellites .....that fence proved ineffective to stop the illegal border crossing.
And that was only the fencing - not wall. To be called “Wall” rather than a “fence,” the barrier must also be a continuous, non-porous construction...but Trump has said “A wall is better than fencing, and it’s much more powerful. It’s more secure. It’s taller.” According to the engineers (Sept. 21, 2015) “The challenge of Trump’s border wall is not technical, but logistical…” and“ would be one of the largest civil works projects in the history of the country…”

It’s still worthwhile!
Now, let me go back to something that I said before in this article.
The San Francisco pride itself on being a sanctuary city providing shelter for illegal migrants.
Some claims that by assisting ICE in an apprehension of criminal illegals they would stop other illegals from reporting the crimes. That logic is mind blowing.
What crime the illegals that are a nice, law abiding people could report if there would be no crime since the criminals would be deported?
Build the wall. Mr. Trump. That what you promised your supporters and that was one of the main reason why you were elected.
As  Mark Levin on his radio show said Tuesday it is time for President Donald Trump to “build the damn wall”.
Ah! The Democrats oppose?! So What! There are not the ones that elected you, Mr. Trump!
No sense to try to appease, negotiate with the ones that continue to oppose and resist the campaign agenda. No more playing nice. Step on them, crush them, kick them to the side and hold back on their every demand. They are not the ones that want to protect our land. There are not the ones that prioritize the welfare of the Americans.
Mark Levin called Nancy Pelosi “the despicable failure” and Chuck Schumer”the despicable snake oil salesman”, claiming they “are destroying this economy”,  and “are driving up the debt.”
The Democrats are looking for the fight. Constant fight. Constant obstruction.
Senate Minority Leader  Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is so obnoxious and arrogant that he dared to send the message to president Trump when speaking at a press conference, Tuesday on Capitol Hill:
"First, it's not a negotiation, no wall." Afterward, he threatened with a government shutdown adding: “the wall made no sense...We don’t oppose security but wall.”
Who does he think he is? Is he under the delusion that he is running this country?
God forbids!
Does he think that he is more than the president of the U.S. or maybe more important than the total of Trump’s base?
How dare the slime Schumer - a troll that needs anger management classes to be giving the ultimatum or conditions to the President himself?!
THE WALL IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL PART OF THE SECURITY! Up to now, everything else failed.

The reality is that the Democrats are the ones that want to keep open borders, never mind the cost of the illegals to our country, overcrowded classes and free education at the expense of the taxpayers, meds, food stamps or other welfare...never mind the increased crime or social and legal services provided for free.

photo: from letter from Judicial Watch conducting the survey.
Describes our cost of illegals entering the U.S. as $110 billion/year
in tax-payer funded public services-edlorens

We all know the real reason for the Democrats fighting the wall. There are the globalists backed up by Soros. There are the ones that are willing to divert taxpayers money toward migrants that in the future would constitute the Democratic base. Never mind that many of those migrants would not promote American values but rather the culture and way of life from the countries of their own origins.

Nanci Pelosi on many occasions called the wall “immoral”. What is really immoral is forgetting citizenry and under the false flags for the political advantage of your own party use the opening borders for the unvetted migrants. America can not welcome the whole 3rd world or it would become the 3rd world. The globalization is immoral as it overrides the patriotic feeling that helped to establish and sustain the country essence and integrity.
Compassion for others does not have to include welcoming strangers in your own land but rather possibly donating services, goods, meds and technologies that would help people to sustain their lives in the place of their birth. Regardless where people live they have to learn on their own to overcome their own, many times self-created obstacles. They have to be allowed and encouraged to create their own solutions...instead of just moving to another country and bringing their problems with them. There is the language barrier, cultural, mentality, the health issues and tremendous real and hidden cost.
The wall would constitute the best security that would hold back a majority of the smugglers and illegals.  Build the wall. Stop diluting and diminishing America.
The additional border patrol, drones, and technologies to which the Democrats agreeing are fine but by itself insufficient.  The priority has to be the wall, everything else is the extra security measure.
“ more Mexican immigrants LEAVING the U.S. than coming in, a net loss of 140,000 immigrants.” — Domenico Montanaro
It is easy to figure out how many are leaving...But how Montanaro knows how many are coming in? Does he stand by borders with pen and paper in hand and collecting the signatures of every illegal sneaking in?
Israel has a wall and Spain a very tall fence to protect Europe.
We also need to build the wall with no more delays.

Multiple analyses have found that immigrants commit violent crime at a lower rate than those born in the United States. “— Sarah McCammon. Does that suppose to make me happy? Does it make a difference if illegals commit same or lower level of crime that Americans? Even if this is true, can McCammon tell that to the victims, the one death at the hands of illegal or victims of sexual crime?

As ZeroHedge noted the country does not experience the sudden explosion of love for the right-wing extremism! The majority of Trump supporters are just conservatives not alt-right. Simply Patriots identifying themselves as Americans for America. Many from Trump’s base joined him, like me after leaving the Democratic party fed up with Clintonians and Obama.
ZeroHedge correctly observed:
the Democrats are perceived — with good reason — to be out of touch...the agenda of endless war, led by millionaires and funded by oligarchs to do the least amount possible for ordinary, powerless citizens...”
Watch! Learn! Thank you!

black people illegal immigration is not good for you

- President George W. Bush, 10/26/06
Today, President Bush Signed The Secure Fence Act - An Important Step Forward In Our Nation's Efforts To Control Our Borders And Reform Our Immigration System. Earlier this year, the President laid out a strategy for comprehensive immigration reform. The Secure Fence Act is one part of this reform, and the President will work with Congress to finish the job and pass the remaining elements of this strategy.
The Secure Fence Act Builds On Progress Securing The Border
By Making Wise Use Of Physical Barriers And Deploying 21st Century Technology, We Can Help Our Border Patrol Agents Do Their Job And Make Our Border More Secure. The Secure Fence Act:
  • Authorizes the construction of hundreds of miles of additional fencing along our Southern border;
  • Authorizes more vehicle barriers, checkpoints, and lighting to help prevent people from entering our country illegally;
  • Authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to increase the use of advanced technology like cameras, satellites, and unmanned aerial vehicles to reinforce our infrastructure at the border.
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Begins With Securing The Border. Since President Bush took office, we have:

  • More than doubled funding for border security - from $4.6 billion in 2001 to $10.4 billion this year;
  • Increased the number of Border Patrol agents from about 9,000 to more than 12,000 - and by the end of 2008, we will have doubled the number of Border Patrol agents since the President took office;
  • Deployed thousands of National Guard members to assist the Border Patrol;
  • Upgraded technology at our borders and added infrastructure, including new fencing and vehicle barriers;
  • Apprehended and sent home more than 6 million people entering America illegally; and
  • We are adding thousands of new beds in our detention facilities so we can continue
  • working to end "catch and release" at our Southern border.
This Act Is One Part Of Our Effort To Reform Our Immigration System, And We Have More Work To Do
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Requires That We Enforce Our Immigration Laws Inside America. It is against the law to knowingly hire illegal workers, so the Administration has stepped up worksite enforcement. Many businesses want to obey the law, but cannot verify the legal status of their employees because of the widespread problem of document fraud, so the President has also called on Congress to create a better system for verifying documents and work eligibility.
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Requires That We Reduce The Pressure On Our Border By Creating A Lawful Path For Foreign Workers To Enter Our Country On A Temporary Basis. A temporary worker program would meet the needs of our economy, reduce the appeal of human smugglers, make it less likely that people would risk their lives to cross the border, and ease the financial burden on State and local governments by replacing illegal workers with lawful taxpayers. Above all, a temporary worker program would add to our security by making certain we know who is in our country and why they are here.
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Requires That We Face The Reality That Millions Of Illegal Immigrants Are Here Already. The President opposes amnesty but believes there is a rational middle ground between granting an automatic path to citizenship for every illegal immigrant and a program of mass deportation. Illegal immigrants who have roots in our country and want to stay should have to pay a meaningful penalty for breaking the law, pay their taxes, learn English, work in a job for a number of years, and wait in line behind those who played by the rules and followed the law.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform Requires That We Honor The Great American Tradition Of The Melting Pot. Americans are bound together by our shared ideals, an appreciation of our history, respect for the flag we fly, and an ability to speak and write the English language. When immigrants assimilate and advance in our society, they realize their dreams, renew our spirit and add to the unity of America.
